We do not use ingredients that have be made using harsh toxicity processes.

We do not use ingredients that have potential high risk to be linked to health-related diseases or discomfort.

We do not use ingredients that cause discomfort after consumption. 

We do not use ingredients that have derived from GMO or farming using pesticides.

We do not use ingredients that are produced in facilities that produce animal products.

Does it matter?

“It is the dose that makes the poison” (Paracelsus, 16th century polymath). This mind-set has influenced food testing & regulations since the early 1900s.

There are over 6,000 food additives in our daily foods that deemed to be GRAS (generally recognised as safe) however many are questionable & constantly facing health backlashes from ongoing studies.

Science is constantly proving that just because a chemical didn’t prove harmful to mice in a lab test, it doesn’t mean that it is safe for humans to increasingly consume.

Furthermore, environmental degradation, processing & materials change can aggravate or mitigate toxicity. There are also other scientific mechanisms at work by which food additives could cause sub-clinical effects. Our individual DNA is of prime concern, carcinogens can impact and alter our DNA and if it doesn’t get mended when it replicates, mistakes or mutations can happen.

As Science evolves, facts change

Let’s take two very common gums that are in many products including “natural” Products.

Xanthan Gum

Xanthan Gum is a “natural” plant-based gum from seaweed, was approved in the late 60s and has become one of our most commonly used gums.

On May 20, 2011, the FDA issued a press release warning parents, caregivers and health care providers not to feed this thickening product to premature infants, after two infant deaths linked to necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC).

For Adults many consumers have reported stomach discomfort & pain, extreme bloating, dizziness, reddened skin, facial rashes, fever, aches, migraine headaches, arthritis pain and even life-threatening anaphylaxis. Xanthan Gum is made using highly toxic carcinogens & also poses allergen risks (produced using glucose from wheat, or GMO soy or GMO corn).

Carrageenan Gum

Carrageenan Gum is a “natural” plant-based gum from Seaweed, that isn’t fully digested in our system has been scientifically linked to inflammation, which can lead to ulcerations & bleeding, along with gastrointestinal cancer. AMAZINGLY, researches have known this since the 1960s, yet it is still widely used in our foods! Chronic inflammation is a root cause of many serious diseases including heart disease, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases, and cancer.

Food grade Carrageenan has also been shown to accelerate cancer formation when administered with a known carcinogen.

When you start reading labels, you’ll be amazed at the number of products that contain carrageenan! Most Infant Formulas, as well as most store-bought Milk Alternatives. Many creams, creamers and dairy products also contain carrageenan.

HFCS & Hydrogenated Vegetable Fats

Safe claims about food additives & highly modified ingredients are constantly arising, for example, Hydrogenated Vegetable Fats were actively promoted as healthier than the natural saturated fats.  High fructose Corn Syrup, once marketed as preferable to sugar, Both have now been identified as key drivers in the obesity epidemic. Both of these ingredients should never had made it pass the lab trials, sadly they did and widespread throughout our foods.

What we did is to ban them all
